Final days of Summer.

Alas it had been months since the last time I posted. The rest of our time on the farm was just perfect! The only thing that could have made our time more enjoyable would have been  if the pool wasn't under construction during our time there. But what can you do?
At the end of June we had the Christensen family beach reunion. The very first one that I was allowed to attend. Haha! Being friends with Katrina, every other beach trip in the past Mother Christensen would not allow me to go. After all I wasn't a Christensen...Yet. I sure showed her! We rented a massive beach house right on the beach in Depoe Bay. It was so beautiful. We were all excited when we arrived and couldn't have been happier. Until the next morning when we all woke up to hear that Dad had driven himself to the hospital that night due to chest and back pain and was now going to have to undergo emergency gall bladder surgery. That put a damper on things. Luckily his surgery went well with no complications.
After the beach trip we were only a few days away from the famous Christensen 4th of July BBQ. Although due to Dads surgery, the number of people were cut down significantly. This year it was only going to be member of the family. Instead of the 150 plus people in the past. As always we had an awesome firework show. The boys always go and get the best supply. I think every year the show gets longer and bigger.
By the time 4th of July was over Wayne and I knew I time in Oregon was going to soon come to a close. We had  only 3 weeks left! And Kelli was suppose to have baby Rose on the 21st. Ha! Boy were we all wrong. When we got back to Rexburg on the 24th of July we were still waiting...and waiting...Poor Kelli had been pregnant for 42 weeks by now and was to be induced. But with a successful induction baby Rose was born on August 3rd! Yay! Although the best part about Rose coming late was that my mom stayed for an entire 3 weeks! It was fun having her here. My Dad ended up leaving earlier because his allergies were killing him. He braved the drive home while Mom stayed and flew back on a later date.
While both my parents were here Aubrie, Erik, and Maxwell were able to come for a day or so before they headed off to Connecticut on their Yale adventure, where Erik is attending Grad school. We went swimming at the new Rexburg Rapids and did a bonfire with Smore's and all!

Our loot of fireworks!
